Christmas and New Year

Christmas and New Year

Hannah wishes you Peace and Joy at Christmas with the hope that 2025 brings you new opportunities and adventures.

Christmas Time – Mid Winter

Christmas time is deep in the mid Winter, the most Yin time of the Year. A time when we are often busy with the celebrations for Christmas, often not embracing the deep stillness of the season.

Nature goes inward in Winter and rests in quiet stillness. Though often the wind, rain and snow swirl round, causing chaos and exhilarating times, though the quiet space of Winter always returns. A bit like Christmas and New Year Celebrations!

Yin Space

Remember this in the business of Christmas and New year to come back to your Yin quiet space.

Take time each day to yourself, to give yourself some self care, even if it is just five minutes to pause and take some deep breaths. If you are in a busy whirlwind find a time in the day where you can be alone, have a place of sanctuary. Wrap up warm and go outside – have a walk breathe in the clear winter air .

Christmas Alone

When you are unable to see family and friends, if your loved ones have past, be kind to yourself. Find ways to speak to people who really do care about you. Buy yourself a gift, self care is not selfish.

Listen to Your Body

Try not to overindulge – stop when you are full or just before. be gentle with your body and mind. If you feel tired try to stop – take a nap. Try to say No follow your deep feelings.

Give yourself some Care

Take time for yourself in the New Year, to care for yourself by having Traditional Five Element Acupuncture, to embrace the season of Winter and the yin qualities.

With Traditional Five Element Acupuncture the underlying principle of treatment is that illness, pain and disease occur when the body’s Qi, (vital energy) cannot flow freely.

Traditional Five ElementAcupuncture is designed to affect your whole system, so as the underlying imbalance improves, the original condition improves, other health problems may resolve with an increased overall feeling of wellbeing
