Hannah Charles has been successfully practicing Traditional/Classical Five Element Acupuncture in Southwell since 1995
Hannah worked as an Enrolled Nurse (General) in both NHS and Private sector hospitals and home-care in Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire for ten years.
After injuring her back whilst nursing Hannah discovered acupuncture.
The successful treatment for the back injury along with PMS proved to Hannah the power of acupuncture. From this personal experience Hannah embarked on a career as a Traditional Five Element Acupuncturist.
Training for three years at the College of Traditional Acupuncture UK in Warwickshire Hannah gained her Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic Ac) in 1995.
The year 1995 also saw the amalgamation of acupuncture societies with the formation of the British Acupuncture Council the UK’s governing body of traditional acupuncture making Hannah one the founder members.
Hannah enthusiastically learns more every year from continuous professional development (CPD) in accordance to BAcC professional development program, and of course from treating patients which she has been doing for over 25 years.
Hannah has never looked back working with Five Element Acupuncture and has seen much success with her patients’ in many fields of health and wellbeing.
One of Hannah’s great joy’s of working with traditional five element acupuncture is helping her patients walk out of her clinic smiling, well and ready to face the world.
Hannah treats a wide variety of conditions with ages spanning from pre-conception to old age. Acupuncture can be an effective stand-alone treatment or to compliment western medicine.
Hannah’s nursing background makes her aware of both forms of medicine, knowing how both have their strengths.
