Knee Pain and Acupuncture

Knee Pain and Acupuncture

Mail on Sunday feature on Knee pain and Acupuncture

The British Acupuncture Council Comments

It’s great to see acupuncture getting positive coverage in this weekend’s ‘Mail on Sunday’ in which it was highlighted as an effective treatment for knee pain and knee-related conditions such as osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition that affects around ten million people in the UK. With over 100,000 people currently waiting for knee surgery on the NHS, it is clearly a significant problem and a life-limiting factor for many. There is good evidence base for the success of acupuncture in treating osteo-arthritis, and you can read more about it in a detailed factsheet on our website – https://acupuncture.org.uk/fact-sheets/osteoarthritis-knee/

If you want to try acupuncture for knee and joint pain, go to acupuncture.org.uk/find-an-acupuncturist to find your nearest, degree-level trained, PSA regulated Traditional acupuncture practitioner. #kneepain #osteoarthritis #arthritis #britishacupuncturecouncil #traditionalacupuncture
