28 Years of Southwell Acupuncture Clinic

28 Years of Southwell Acupuncture Clinic

28 Years!

Another year has passed in our changing world. These last few years since the pandemic lockdown I have noticed a change in what patient’s needs. Yes, my patients still come to see me for Traditional Acupuncture, though I have found that many need extra support and care due to the challenges facing the NHS, with the difficulty getting appointments and long waiting lists.

Holistic Care

In my practice it is vitally important that my patients feel looked after, cared for and professionally treated, which I endeavour to do. I am able to do this from my training and experience as an Enrolled Nurse with the understanding of western medicine. My training and experience in Traditional Five Element Acupuncture, puts a different perspective on treating and caring for each person, giving Holistic care for all their needs. Helping each patient with their individual needs, though the treatment with acupuncture, acupressure , moxa, advice with self-care and supporting them with their journey to better health.

Continued Learning

Every day I learn from my patients and from my teachers.  Patients experiences of life, health, ill health, disease in Body, Mind and Spirit. Every person responds to traditional acupuncture treatment in their own individual way, showing we are all unique and need care and treatment in different ways.

To be a member of the British Acupuncture Council we have to study for at least 30 hours a year in structured learning, self-directed learning and self-care. To me this is a pleasure to continue learning as it is part of life’s rich pattern.

My Patients

I treat a wide variety of people, with acute and chronic conditions, and helping to keep them well through each season of the year and their life. Traditional Five Element Acupuncture treats each person with the treatment they need and hopes to prevent further illness, by regular preventative treatments and lifestyle changes to help health.

Thank you to my patients who have come to my practice now in the past and in the future.
