Clean Beauty starts with beautiful soil
Weleda starts from the beginning of the process of production to ensure all products are clean.
Weleda keep chemicals and pesticides out of the Biodynamic agriculture process of making ingredients for Weleda products.
Biodynamic agriculture is a form of alternative agriculture very similar to organic farming, using principles that add vitality to the plant and soil; it includes various esoteric concepts drawn from the ideas of Rudolf Steiner – the founder of Weleda. The quality of the soil will reflect the quality of the product.
Since life nurtures life, all of Weleda plants are processed immediately after they’re harvested. Weleda’s dedicated farmers work with the greatest care to clean the roots, peel the bark and hand select the best blossoms and leaves.
Tradition and innovation are equally important to Weleda; they are the basis for the long-standing commitment to the three pillars of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
Weleda strive to achieve this by protecting and respecting our environment and its biodiversity, by treating and remunerating employees, partners and communities fairly, and by building an ethical economy which creates, rather than diminishes, value.
This is why I am involved with Weleda as Weleda Advisor; as not only are the products excellent but environmentally sustaining at all parts of the process from seed to use.
