Acupuncture and Migraine

Do you so wish you could be free of migraines ruling your life?

Over my years of practicing traditional five element acupuncture I have worked with many patients who suffer with migraine, seeing many lives turned around by this treatment.

Migraines affect each person in different forms and times. The symptoms each individual can suffer; pain which may be debilitating, lastig for days if not weeks, nausea and sickness, photophobia, dizziness, whole body pain, weakness that can feel like a stroke, fatigue and exhaustion. Life can be ruled by migraine attacks, affecting work family, relationships, life and any future plans.

The reasons a patient may get migraines can be related to hormones before period , due to puberty or menopause, stress, food triggers, environment, structural problems eg with neck ,shoulders or back and hereditary factors, sex – more women suffer migraines, or most of the above!! Though it is each patient’s underling constitution that has an effect on how a migraine will manifest.

Western medicine treats the symptoms of migraines with medications but struggle to address the cause.

The beauty of traditional five element acupuncture is that we treat every patient on an individual basis assessing the constitutional make up and underlining energy (qi) imbalance on the levels of body, mind and spirit. I love to treat patients suffering with migraine as they are so different with each situation, I have seen patient’s health turned around with acupuncture treatment being live their life without being ruled by migraines, a new freedom to move forward in life and make plans.
